Trash Bash 2 March 24th 2018
The second Trash Bash was a HUGE success sponsored by Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, San Martin Neighborhood Association, Greenwaste, and the San Martin Chamber of Commerce. With a bigger turnout of volunteers than our first Trash Bash event in 2017 the Community is showing their spirit is strong!
Toy Drive 2017
The Chamber ran their first Toy Drive in December 2017 benefiting Cecelia’s Closet. Connie Ludewig and Mark Peebles are pictured after dropping off donated toys gathered by local businesses (Pineapple Rods and Kustoms, Silicon Valley Internet, San Martin Cafe, Clos LaChance, and O’Henry’s Donuts).
Trash Bash 11-11-17
The 1st annual San Martin Trash Bash, and Veterans Day Flag Raising (conducted by Boy Scout Troop 730 & 799) was a HUGE success with over 80 South County volunteers. The flag raising ceremony was a respectful tribute to the Veterans (many of whom brought their service dogs from Operation Freedom Paws).
The event was organized by San Martin Neighborhood Alliance, County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, Greenwaste, and The San Martin Chamber of Commerce.
Thank you to the many South County volunteers for participating, and to the businesses who donated food/beverages:
Pastries & Cookies: CoPart, San Martin
Starbucks Coffee: PetersonCAT, San Martin
Bottled Water: Terry Moriyama: Real Estate Consultant Re/Max Realty Partners, Morgan Hill
Pizza: Hamdey Altayyeb, My Pizza, Morgan Hill & Alex Kennett, Real Estate Solutions, Morgan Hill
Family Fun Day 9-30-17
The Chamber’s first “Community Event” was quite fun with The Iconics providing the music for our 60’s style event. The San Martin Lion’s Club provided the venue at their beautifully updated park. Sponsorship of this event was provided by Elise Brentall of South Valley Internet. We are thankful for the participation of The Lion’s Club, 4H, and The Wings of History. Food donations were accepted for Ceclelia’s Closet, and everyone enjoyed the raffle of course!
Clos LaChance Mixer 9/12/17
Our first Business Social was a tremendous success with over 60 attendees at Clos LaChance Winery. Bill Murphy took time to speak of the history of Clos LaChance Winery, and everyone enjoyed networking and enjoying the food provided by Sharon Luna of San Martin Neighborhood Alliance.
